My Halloween Kills Review. The Good, The bad, and the corny. Spoiler Free

After the 1 year delay due to Covid 19 the man of the Halloween hour returns in very, very brutal fashion and boy this was one was off the scale. The kill count is at its highest, the suspense is there and to be honest they may even be the scariest Michael Myers i have ever seen. This was my second most anticipated movie of this year and i got tell you, i was very happy from what i saw.  First all i must say the 1978 mask they recreated was amazing, it maybe the best mask of them all. The blemishes they had on it while looking so clean was incredible. The movie starts off just super intense with great fan service but in a way the fan service starts to grow a little tiresome.

Michael Myers is pissed and you can defiantly tell when he comes out of the burning house. He’s brutal as all hell and he is sparing nobody, not even your local firefighters. This maybe the best Michael Myers performance yet. As Michael carries on with bloody murderous path of the town of Haddonfield the news has broke out of the burning house he is still on the blood path. The news breaks out and the residents ban together with “Tommy Doyle” played by the  Anthony Michael Hall rallies the town to hunt down Michael Myers while Laurie Strode in the hospital. Returning character like “Lindsey Wallace” “Marion Chambers” and “Lonnie Elam” the classic characters from the original.

  The good’s

Overall i thought it was great. I know what the critics and rotten tomatoes scores have given this movie a negative score but i could care less. It was actually a very tense and scary movie. Michael is very cold blooded and its beautiful to watch. The music in this music is absolutely amazing to hear. Is this the best of the franchise, i am not sure yet but with time it could turn out that way or maybe not. But after watching it in theaters and at home, i was surely not disappointed and had a lot fun watching it while waiting for that next tense jump scare. Beautiful horror and bloody slashing action at its finest but of course no movie is perfect and now on to

The Bad

The bad for me was the Haddonfield mob, they just could not get their s**t right and they got on my last nerve. Not saying the actors were bad but they were just not likeable at least for me. Either somebody was just doing something stupid or making the worst decision possible. Some of the characters had no business trying to hunt for the boogeyman. By the end of this movie i was actually rooting for Michael because i was just done with the people by the end of the movie and now on to….

 CORNY!!!

There was so much corny line’s in this movie and it was getting annoying. From the “Evil dies tonight” chants to the over explaining of how Laurie Strode talking about how she needed to be the one to Kill Michael caused me to roll my eyes multiple times and chuckle a little bit. Even my wife who is scared these movies even rolled her eyes. Now earlier in this review i mentioned fan service and at the beginning of this movie its amazing but as the movie progresses and so does the service and it starts to grow old and there is one line at the end that was great in the original movie but to hear it again at a certain situation of the movie was just cringe for me but overall i still enjoyed it for the most part.

Overall score

I will give this movie a solid A and most likely will watch it for a 3rd time because i just loved this movie. It was a lot of fun, it was actually scary and very dark and sometimes very gritty in a positive way. So if you were looking for a negative score well you came to the wrong blog but if you hated this movie which there is a lot of people. Well i can respect that.

If you took the time to read this review i say thank you. And also leave a comment and tell me your thoughts of the movie but hopefully you stay safe and have a fun loving halloween season. Until then see you next time and be safe and remember always watch out for the boogeyman.
